The Honig Foundation supports community organisations across several distinct funding streams. Each stream reflects our values and strategic approach to creating lasting social impact. Under each heading below, you’ll find a full list of the organisations we’ve supported through that funding stream.

Grant Rounds Funding

We are committed to supporting Australian citizens across the country who are experiencing disadvantage. Through our open grants program, we fund early-stage and innovative initiatives that respond to critical community needs. When grant rounds are open, they are publicly advertised, and full application details are shared on our social media channels.

Collaborative Philanthropy for Greater Impact

Collaboration is at the heart of our work. Through our collective impact partnerships and Giving Circle, we work alongside like-minded philanthropic funders to co-invest in community organisations and initiatives that reflect our shared values and strategic goals. By combining our resources, insights, and networks, we strengthen our ability to create meaningful and sustainable change. We break barriers by backing bold ideas that create real impact and better lives. Funding in this stream is by invitation only, guided by recommendations from fellow Giving Circle members and partner funders who have previously supported the organisation. This approach ensures a more coordinated and thoughtful pathway to delivering lasting impact together.

Freedom to Grow

We recognise that community organisations often need flexible funding to grow, respond to emerging needs, and build long-term resilience. Through our Untied Funding stream, we provide unrestricted grants that can be used at the organisation’s discretion.

This type of funding is offered by invitation only and reflects a high level of trust in the leadership, capability, and vision of the organisations we support.
